【摘要】:FlumeMaterial8212;Anymaterialthathasthefollowingbasicpropertiesandthatmeetsallotherrequirementsofthispracticemaybeusedtoconstructwaterslides.Flumesridingsurfacesshallbeconstructedtobesmooth.FlumematerialshallbedemonstratedasstrongenoughtosupportspecifiedloadsasdefinedinSection7.Flumecomponents,maintainedusingthemanufacturerx2019;sinstructions,shallnotdeteriorateovertimeinsuchawaythatahazardwilldevelop.SupportMaterials8212;Anymaterialthathasthefollowingbasicpropertiesandthatmeetsallotherrequirementsofthispracticemaybeusedtoconstructwaterslidesupports.Supportsforwaterslidesshallbeconstructedfromdurablematerialssuchaswood,metal,concrete,orengineeredcomposites.Supportsforwaterslidesfrommetalshallbeeitherinherentlycorrosionresistant,orbefinishedinsuchawayastoprovideprotectionfromcorrosion.Woodmaterialsshallbefinishedinsuchawaytoprovideprotectionagainstdeterioration.SupportmaterialshallbedemonstratedasstrongenoughtosupportspecifiedloadsasdefinedinSection6.Supportsshallbeconstructedtoaccommodateregularinspectionandmaintenanceforstructuralintegrity,materialdeterioration,orcorrosion,oracombinationthereof.1.1Thispracticeappliestotheclassification,design,manufacture,construction,andoperationofwaterslidesystems.Waterslidesystemsshallbedefinedasridesintendedforusebyridersinbathingattirewheretheactionoftherideinvolvespossibleandpurposefulimmersionoftherider''sbodyeitherinwholeorinpartinwater,andusescirculatingwatertomobilizeorlubricatetheriderx2019;stransportationalongapurposebuiltpath.Thisincludesslidesusedwithorwithoutvehiclesasdefinedbelow.Thetermswaterslides,waterslides,andslidesshallbeconsideredequivalentwhenusedinthispractice.1.2Forthepurposesofthispractice,awaterslidesystemincludes:1.2.1Theflume,1.2.2Thewater-circulationsystem,1.2.3Thestartingplatformwithassociatedmeansofaccessandegress,1.2.4Thestructuralsupports,1.2.5Vehiclesorotheraquaticaccessoriesthatarepartofthewaterslideasdefinedbythemanufacturer,and1.2.6Meansofslidetermination.1.3Thispracticeshallnotapplyto:1.3.1Anywaterslidesinstalledinprivateresidences,1.3.2Waterflumeamusementrideswherecontactwithwaterismerelyincidental(forexample,logflumerides,shoot-the-chutes),1.3.3AmusementridesanddeviceswhosedesigncriteriaarespecificallyaddressedinanotherASTMstandard,1.3.4Lazyrivertypeattractionsoperatingatconstantelevation,constructedintheground,and1.4Pre-existingdesignsmanufacturedaftertheeffectivedateofpublicationofthispracticeifthedesignisserviceprovenorpreviouslycompliant,asdefinedinSection3.1.26ofPracticeF2291,andthemanufacturerprovides:1.4.1Ahistoricalsummaryofthewaterslide,ormajormodificationasdefinedinTerminologyF747,and1.4.2Astatementthatthedesignisserviceprovenorpreviouslycompliant.Waterslidesandmajormodificationstowaterslidesmayqualifyaspreviouslycompliantforfiveyearsfollowingthedateofpublicationofthispractice.Thereafter,waterslidesandmajormodificationstowaterslidesmustqualifyas......
