【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoverstheconditioningoftextilesfortestinginthoseinstanceswheresuchconditioningisspecifiedinatestmethod.Becausepriorexposureoftextilestohighorlowhumiditymayaffecttheequilibriummoisturepick-up,aprocedureisalsogivenforpreconditioningthematerialswhenspecified.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
